Cairo (EL Qahira) is the capital of Egypt and the biggest city here, and one of the biggest cities in the world.
The name of El Qahira means the conqueror, named that because when the Fatimid started building it in the year 969 the planet Mars, named El Qaher in Arabic, was in the ascendant, and from it came the English name Cairo.
Cairo became the capital of Egypt from the year 973 till today, that's mean more than a thousand year now, and became the most important city in Egypt that's why it been called Masr (Egypt).
There are too many places (old & new) to visit here in Cairo, but I don't have too many pictures about it now, but I am planning to add many more pictures in the future.

Giza is well known around the world because of the Pyramids and Sphinx were located in this province.
Giza the city is located on the west side of the Nile where Cairo at the east side, many people think that Giza is part of Cairo, but it is another city and another province and has its own governor.
