SINAI

Sinai is a peninsula located northeast of Egypt, The Mediterranean Sea at its north and Red Sea at its south, Sinai is the only part of Egypt that belongs to Asia continent.
Through history till now Sinai is the eastern gate of Egypt, occupied by the Israelis for six years from 1967 till 1973, being liberated after October War.
Known to the world by its magnificent shores and coral reefs, it is sacred too because the mountain of Moses, where it is situated in the center of its south part, where the prophet Moses talked to GOD.
Sinai divided to two provinces now The North of Sinai and The South of Sinai provinces.
The most important places to visit in Sinai are El Areesh at north, Ras Sudr at southwest, Sharm El Sheikh south, Dahab, Nuweiba and Taba southeast and of course Saint Catherine at Mountain of Moses.

You'll see in this page a collection of pictures I took in Sinai, Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab and Taba, I added also a picture I took at Suez canal after we crossed it through Ahmed Hamdy Tunnel.

Sinai Collection
Three pictures were taken in different locations through our travel crossing Sinai from Suez Canal to Aqaba Gulf.

Suez Canal

This is a picture of Suez Canal right after we crossed it to the east bank through Ahmed Hamdy Tunnel.

Sharm El Sheikh

This is a panoramic picture of Neima Bay at Sharm El Sheikh, maybe the most famous place in Sinai, it was a deserted bay for centuries, until the Israelis found it when Sinai was under their occupation, and built a hotel there.
Now after Sinai returned back to Egypt Naima Bay is stuffed with too many 5 stars hotels and resorts.

Dahab

This picture was taken at one of the 5 stars hotels there in Dahab.

Taba

Taba is one square Kilometer area at the east border of Egypt, it was the last piece of land from Sinai that is been liberated.
There is only one 5 star hotel built by the Israelis before the liberation.
The most important thing in Taba is you can see there three countries gathered in one place (Egypt, Jordan & Israel), and two cities in the same time (Aqaba & Eilat) , maybe you can't see something like this in the whole world.
